What does this site run?

One fetch, and you see the stack: CMS and ecommerce platform, JavaScript frameworks, analytics and ad pixels, tag managers, hosting, CDN, fonts, payment and chat providers, with versions where they are announced. Matched against a catalogue of 3,000+ technologies and compared with the million sites already in the index.

What we check

  • CMS and ecommerce platform (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Squarespace, ...)
  • Frontend frameworks and build tools
  • Analytics, tag managers and advertising pixels
  • Hosting provider, CDN and DNS
  • Payment, chat, email marketing and booking widgets
  • Versions where the software announces them
  • How many other sites in the index run the same thing

Cost of one run: 1 fetch, or none if we already have the site. Results for the same URL are kept for a few minutes, so running twice is free and instant.

Questions

How do you detect what a site runs?

Patterns: script URLs, HTML markers, headers, cookies, meta tags and DNS records that each technology leaves behind. The catalogue holds 3,000+ technologies and 5,700+ patterns, the same approach as Wappalyzer and BuiltWith.

Can you see what runs behind a login?

No. We fetch the public page like a visitor who is not signed in. Technologies that only appear after login are invisible to us, as they are to search engines.

Can I get a list of every site in my area running a given platform?

Yes. That is the OpsBlu records product: every local business with its stack, by city and category. The lookup here is the free single-site version of it.
